Sony Ericsson ”Rachael” is the codename of the Swedes’ first Android-based mobile phone, that is expected to be announced later this year. It will be part of Sony Ericsson’s series of XPERIA products. We’ve got our hands on internal documents about the phone, that seems to have the potential to be a sales success.

George Hotz, released the first jailbreaking app for IPhone titled ‘purplera1n’. The app works only on Windows Platform (Windows 7 unsupported) now supporting Windows 7 and 64 bit seamless work with latest version of iTunes, with iPhone 3GS with 3.0 firmware and now also available for mac download it here.
The process is simple as described on the Developer’s blog:
Connect your iPhone normally. Click “make it ra1n”. Wait. On bootup, run Freeze, the purplera1n installer app. Hopefully you’ll figure out what to do from there.

Palm is to announce details of the exclusive Palm Pre deal with O2, next week. The deal, first rumoured back in May, will make O2 the official Palm Pre partner in the UK.
The Guardian reports that Palm is about to confirm O2 as having won the rights to the Pre, beating off stiff competition from Orange. It is expected that Carphone Warehouse will also stock the phone, offering deals on the regular O2 packages.
