I had been using Nimbuzz since their first launch and quietly impressed with the features and O2 Germany have this app as pre-installed on TG01 handset from Toshiba.

Opera Software has released an alpha version of Unite, software that turns a computer into both a client and a server, allowing it to distribute content to other computers directly across the Web, without the need for traditional Web servers, the company said on Tuesday.
Unite services will run in the browser, so no additional software has to be downloaded, and services will work wherever Opera works, including on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux, and later on mobile phones and other devices.

Finally Google announced the first official beta versions of Google Chrome, its browser, for Mac and Linux. As of now, these versions are only available in the developer channel, which is Google’s cutting edge, rapid-release channel for Google Chrome that is geared towards developers and testers, but not the mainstream public.
For now, Google is actually asking users not to download Chrome for the Mac and Linux just yet, unless they are ready to be disappointed. If you’re brave though, here is the download link.
